A nickname and an archetype. That's it. Bass Quest does not ask for your full legal name, address, school, phone number, exact location, or demographic details, and there is nowhere in the app to enter them. Please don't put personal details in riff titles or take names either — a nickname is always enough.

Everything you make and every number you earn is yours alone: your profile, quests, progress and XP, skill tree, riffs, recordings, achievements, and rig customization. Nothing you log is visible to other players.

Audio you record never leaves your device. Takes are stored in your browser's local device storage, not uploaded to a server, and recordings are marked private with no way to publish them.

No public profiles, no public recordings, no direct messaging, no comments, no followers, no public leaderboards, and no location sharing. If sharing is ever added, it will be opt-in with real consent and privacy controls — never switched on for you.

Progress data (XP entries and completed skills) is stored with access rules that only allow a signed-in player to read and write their own rows. Reference data — the skill tree and the level curve — is shared, non-personal app content.

Bad Day Mode and "I don't wanna practice" exist to lower pressure on hard days. They are not assessments. Bass Quest does not score your mood, profile your mental health, or draw conclusions about you from what you log.

Bass Quest is a music practice and creativity tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or therapy, and it does not assess or diagnose anything about you. If you are struggling, please talk to a trusted adult or a qualified professional.

You can rename or delete your riffs and recordings at any time, and deleting a take removes its audio from your device. Clearing your browser storage clears your local player data.
